Sex or Ego: which is more fundamental drive?


Conciousness came into existence and first  emotion witnessed was of fear of loosing existence.This fear also referred as primal fear.And this sense of existing as an entity is ego. Conciousnes took simplest physical form to be able to decrease this fear. 
Now fear goes away in two manner either you understand your surrounding so that you are familiar with what is threatning and what not.But, this requires thought proces and thus a developed brain. But this is possible only in highly evolved species . There is another way to tackle fear.Generate familiar things with which you will comfortable,less threatened and stronger.Thus, simplest of organism started to multiply.This tendency to generate offsprings is termed as sex drive.But it seems that it's an intermediate form that ego drive have adopted to ensure its existence.
You will find that lower organisms reproduce most and produces lots of offsprings at....once. But as brain develops and organism become intelligent it reproduce less. 
Human is the highest form of organism which has highly developed brain which is product of long process of evolution.
Enlightment is the last event in the lifespan of conciousness which is anri-dote to the primal fear. After long process of meditation( what buddha did ) human mind is able to high level of perceptions (explained in very detail in patanjali's yogasutra) .It is through this perception it is able to understand itself and its surrounding. It is said that ultimate reisation is the fact that we are not body with which we identify ourselvd but soul.Soul is indestructible and has no reason to fear.It is this realisation, which eliminates the primal fear that emerged at the time when conciousness came into existence.

Thus, ego is prime drive and sex is intermediate pathway. Knowledge is the ultimate aim of whole process of evolution.

String Theory : In layman's terms.

It has been an age old quest to understand, of what stuff we and all the object we see around are made . Earlier in the times of Greek philosophers like Aristotle, it was thought that we all are made up of five fundamental elements,  and they even tried to understand the structure of those elements.You will we amazed to know that the geometry that we study in school which defines line , points, circle, polygon etc was actually invented by Euclid to arrive at the structure of those elements.Hence, it was his book 'Elements' from where geometry started.And in the final chapter he was able to arrive at a complex geometry involved in the structure of those elements.However, later it was understood that those were not fundamental constituent of matter, but still we kept the word element. As our know how progressed we were able to conclude that things are made of elements and these elements have more fundamental constituent called atom , which once was also thought to be indivisible.
